Our summer skating clinic is a 4-day program that will improve your overall skating. Skating is an extremely important part of the game that cannot be overlooked. We will focus on stride mechanics and edge work to push you to a new level. Our clinic will offer high quality and detailed instruction to make you a better skater. Our staff will bring a positive attitude and energy to each session that will create a great learning environment for each player. This clinic is open to 02-07 birth year players.
In our daily 80-minute session we will do full-ice and station based drills and instruction to work on the following:
Forward and Backward Edge Work
Unilateral and Bilateral Balance
Linear and Lateral Speed
Forward and Backward Crossovers
Proper Stride Technique

Head Instructor: Ryan Blair – Blair was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He played 3 years of junior hockey - 2 years in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) and 1 year in the Eastern Junior Hockey League (EJHL) with the Foxboro Stars. After his junior hockey career Blair went on to play Division 1 hockey in Hockey East for UMass Lowell. The defenseman was named an assistant captain in his senior year. After graduating in 2011 he went on to play two and a half years of professional hockey in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). Blair takes pride in working hard and leading by example. Coach Blair is entering his first year as the Head of Hockey Development with the Boston Junior Rangers Youth Program. Blair brings a passion for the game and a positive attitude to help bring each player to a new level.
Instructor: Josh Holmstrom – Josh grew up and played his youth hockey in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After playing Tier 1 U18 in Colorado he went on to play two years in the USHL for the Sioux Falls Stampede. Over that two-year span, Holmstrom had 68 pts in 119 games played. He was named an assistant captain his 2nd year. Josh went on to play Division 1 in Hockey East for UMass-Lowell. At UMass-Lowell, Holmstrom tallied 74 points (31g, 43a) in 154 career games. He served as team captain during his senior campaign and helped lead the River Hawks to back-to-back Hockey East tournament titles. Following Umass-Lowell Holmstrom has played 3 years of professional hockey split between over 70 games in the AHL and over 120 games in the ECHL. Holmstrom brings great hockey experience and is an extremely hard working player and person. He will be a great role model for all players in our clinic and will help develop players to a new level.
